The Brescia–Iseo–Edolo line represents a perfect example of the region’s dual soul, carrying visitors to the waters of Lake Iseo and Monte Isola, and to the mountains of Valcamonica. Similarly, for tourists in search of peaks and high-altitude sports, the Milano–Lecco–Sondrio–Tirano line represents the main avenue to reach the Valtellina ski areas directly from large urban centres, thanks to dedicated intermodal systems that simplify the transition from the tracks to the slopes.
