TrainOSE operates three types of regional rail passenger services on which include “Regular” trains, Express trains and Intercity (IC) trains in Greece.
The rack train crossing Vouraikos Gorge in Peloponnese is one of the most picturesque rail trips in Greece. on a regular daily connection between the small town of Diakopto at the coast of Peloponnese and the tourist mountain village of Kalavrita, just next to the ski resort at an altitude of 2.300 m.
First time in May 2016 special events were organized by the local authorities including the train trip, exhibition of local products, presentations about the train and its history and the gorge’s eco system.
The Rack Railway, known as Odontotos, crossing Vouraikos Gorge in the northern Peloponnese can reach high altitudes and operates on steep grades, through territories of unique interest and spectacular views. Vineyards, olive and lemon groves give way to the famous Vouraikos Gorge. The impetuous river, waterfalls and natural pools appear between the gorge walls. From tunnels carved into the rock, to sudden carves, from hanging bridges suspended to mid-air to narrow ledges overlooking the turbulent waters the train follows its route.

THE NARROW GAUGE LINE IN PELOPONESE
The schedules of modern metric gauge line air conditioned Railbus carriages are adjusted to accommodate the schedule of the cruise ships arriving in Katakolo port. Ano Lekhonia – Milee
The small black and red locomotive valiantly scales the slopes of Mountain Pelion. Hidden among the chestnut, walnut and eucalyptus trees, the very narrow –only 60km between the rails. The eponymous peninsula is one of Greece’s most attractive sites, bordered by sheer cliffs and the turquoise waters of mountain creeks. The passage between the villages Ano Lekhonia and Milee lasts 90 minutes with a brief stop at the tiny station of Ano Gantzea.
